Every year St. Barnabas participates in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community at Harrisburg Area Community College on the third Saturday in May. For the safety and protection of our participants the walk will be a virtual walk this year. The walk is on your terms. Anytime between May 9 and June 30 you can choose how and when you walk: treadmill, park or trail, or around the neighborhood. To keep up the momentum of individual fundraising you will receive a T-shirt with a $15 donation. Please log on to walkforahealthycommunity.org and join under St. Barnabas Center for Ministry. Donations can also be mailed to St. Barnabas, 248 Seneca St, Harrisburg 17110.
Last year we had many particiants, in spite of the cold rainy day. The weather did not spoil everyone's fun, as there were plenty of smiles to go around!
The goal of the walk is to raise money to finance the St. Barnabas Ministry for Children. 100% of the money raised goes to St. Barnabas and helps offset the operating costs of the summer program.
The St. Barnabas Fashion Show and Luncheon is held every fall at the Radisson Hotel in Camp Hill. Over 113 guests and supporters enjoy a delicious luncheon, followed by a show of fashions by Soft Surroundings. Due to the pandemic the Fashion Sh0w has been rescheduled. Please join us November 14, 2021 for another afternoon of fun and fellowship. Call 717-233-2175 to reserve a ticket.
There is always a silent auction of many beautiful and interesting gift baskets. All monies raised go directly to support the summer camp.
First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle hosted a concert by lyric tenor Christyan Seay in March. Christyan and Daniel Glessner were amazing! All free will offerings benefited St. Barnabas Ministry
St. Barnabas and it's Board Members want to thank Christyan Seay for this amazing performance. You have been blessed with an astonishing voice and we appreciate you sharing it with us!
Our camp director, Rodger Hines, presented the camp philosophy through a story about a bicycle, and how we strive to improve the character of our campers.
